Brent Wickstrom - Wickstrom Jersey Farms, Inc.
Brent Wickstrom is the third generation to operate Wickstrom Dairy Farm alongside his father and grandfather. Wickstrom Jersey Farms, Inc. is currently milking 2,400 cows and is nationally ranked in the Top 5 for Milk, Fat, and Protein for their herd size. April 2021, they expanded the operation to a second facility milking an additional 1,200 Jerseys. Brent manages all the day-to-day operations on both dairies. Brent also manages the reproductive and mating decisions on the operation. In 2014, Wickstrom Jersey Farms, Inc. began building an IVF collection center on-site and since then have completed about 1,000 embryo transfers each year. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Wickstrom earned his degree in dairy science with a minor in ag business and crop science. During his college career, he was active with Los Lecheros Dairy Club and Dairy Challenge. In 2019, Brent received the American Jersey Cattle Association Young Jersey Breeder Award.
