Alexander van der Lely - CEO Lely
Alexander van der Lely was born in Switzerland in 1968 and is a graduate of ETH Zurich with a specialisation in production and management. He joined his family-owned company Lely in the 1990s and actively worked with the R&D department on the most important invention of the 20th century for dairy farmers: the Lely Astronaut milking robot.
Having held various positions within the company, Alexander has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer in 2004. He is also responsible for Innovations and Business Development. For more than 70 years, Lely helps farmers to make the best choices for themselves and their farm by providing advice and innovative solutions that contribute to efficient farm management.
