Abhay Nayak - Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy, Accelerated Growth Businesses and Commercial Development, Zoetis
Abhay Nayak is executive vice president, head of Strategy, Accelerated Growth Businesses and Commercial Development. In this role, he leads our global business strategy and commercial development organization. He also drives strategic alignment and execution across a group of businesses, including Global Diagnostics, Genetics, Precision Livestock Farming and Platinum Performance, a business focused on premium nutritional products and scientific wellness.
Mr. Nayak previously served as head of Global Strategy, Commercial Development and Customer Experience, where he focused on keeping Zoetis customers at the center of the company’s strategic planning and commercial development plans, while ensuring greater alignment in how Zoetis incorporates the needs of its customers. In this role, he also led all global strategic initiatives and identified major growth areas and business model innovation opportunities for the company.
Prior to joining Zoetis, Mr. Nayak was a consultant at McKinsey & Company where he advised leading pharmaceutical and medical device companies on crafting and executing global growth strategies. He started his career as an investment banker at Barclays in London, where he advised private equity clients on M&A, restructuring, and financing transactions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Mr. Nayak earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School. He is also a CFA Charter holder.
